The recipes you see on Instagram and TikTok are filmed with a saucepan. With a robot, you have to translate everything: how many seconds to chop the onion, what speed to simmer without mashing, when to blend, how many minutes under pressure. And the "200 ml of cream" has to be weighed, since it's the robot's scale that does the measuring.

With cooking robot mode, Zeste does this translation for the robot you've chosen. Each robot has its own settings: only the TM7 goes up to 160 °C, in its Browning mode, the Monsieur Cuisine doesn't go above speed 3 when heating, the Companion changes accessory instead of running in reverse, and the Cookeo pressure-cooks without blending anything. Every recipe in your cookbook offers a robot version next to the original recipe.

Adapt a recipe to your robot with Zeste

  1. Choose your robot

    In the app, Profile › Units and cooking robot; on zeste.cooking, in Settings. Turn on cooking robot mode and choose your robot. You only do this once.

  2. Import the recipe

    Share the reel or video to Zeste, or paste its link with the + button. A web page, a photo of a cookbook or a PDF work too.

  3. Open the robot version

    On the recipe, choose Robot version: the steps appear with their settings. Cooking mode shows them as chips and starts the timer for the right time.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a subscription for robot mode?

No, cooking robot mode is included in the free plan. Only imports are limited without Pro (5 video/link imports per week).

Which robots are supported?

The Thermomix TM7, TM6 and TM5, the Monsieur Cuisine (Connect, Smart), the Moulinex Companion (Cuisine Companion, Companion XL, i-Companion) and the Moulinex Cookeo. For another heating robot, choose the one it most resembles.

Are the settings reliable?

They follow the manufacturers' user manuals and the benchmarks of their official recipes (chopping, sautéing, simmering, blending, kneading, pressure cooking), and are written by AI from the recipe. Check them as you would a recipe found online, especially the temperatures.

I have two robots, or I'm switching

Change robots in the settings: each recipe's version is prepared for the new one the first time you open it, and the old one's version is kept.

Can I go back to the original recipe?

Yes, the recipe card keeps both versions side by side. And robot mode can be turned off in the settings at any time.
