Your Pinterest pins

Paste the link to a pin: Zeste reads its description, follows the link to the original recipe and files it all in your cookbook.

Pinterest is a good place to keep recipe ideas, and a bad place to cook them: the pin leads to a website, sometimes gone, sometimes in another language, often covered in ads.

Zeste accepts pinterest.com/pin/… links and short pin.it links. It reads the pin's title and description, follows the link to the original recipe when there is one, and looks at the pin's images if the text isn't enough.

What Zeste does for you

  • pinterest.com and pin.it links
  • Reads the pin's original page
  • Image pins read by AI
  • Recipe translated into your language

Import a Pinterest pin into Zeste

  1. Copy the pin's link

On the pin, open the menu (the three dots), then "Copy link". The short pin.it link works.

  2. Paste into Zeste

Import tab, paste, confirm. Zeste follows the pin's link to the original site when there is one.

  3. Check

A pin with no link and no detailed description gives a short recipe: fill it in using the editor.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Pinterest account?

No. Zeste only reads public pins, without connecting to your account.

Do video pins work?

They're recognized. Image pins with a link to a recipe site give the best results; a video with no usable description may leave the recipe incomplete.

What if the original site is gone?

Zeste falls back on the pin's text and images. If the full recipe is there, the import works; otherwise, you fill it in by hand.
