Everything that changed in Zeste this week

Google and Apple, household, favorites, dish type, new mobile and web interface, profile photo and preferences: the full recap.

Zeste changed a lot this week: simpler sign-in, a shared cookbook, better-organized recipes, and a completely redesigned interface on mobile and desktop. Here's the full tour, without the jargon.

Sign in with Google or Apple

No need to create a password if you don't want to: sign in with Google or Apple, on the web and in the iPhone and Android app. Your cookbook stays the same from one device to another.

Household, favorites and meal plan

The household lets you share recipes and planning with the people who live (or cook) with you. Favorites mark the dishes you make again and again. The weekly meal plan is clearer for placing your meals and moving straight on to the shopping list.

Starter, main or dessert

Every recipe can now have a dish type. That makes it easier to filter when you're looking for a light starter, a weeknight main or a weekend dessert.

New mobile interface

The recipes screen becomes My kitchen: grid or list, import within thumb's reach, profile accessible from the avatar. More guided onboarding, preferences (units, diets, allergies, meal reminders), cookbook export and a counter of recipes you've already cooked.

App updates now also download automatically at launch: you get fixes without going through the store every time.

New web dashboard

On zeste.cooking, a sidebar brings together navigation, cookbooks and account. Recipes, meal plan, import, household and settings use the full width. You can also add a profile photo, visible in the household.

Sturdier under the hood

Concurrent Instagram imports fail less often, and the Pro subscription stays properly in sync with your import quotas. The essentials don't change: pasting a reel, a TikTok video, a Marmiton page or a photo of a cookbook is as simple as before.

Update the app or sign in again on the web to see everything. The details are also on the What's new page.
