How to import an Instagram recipe into Zeste

Share the reel to Zeste or paste its link: two ways to turn an Instagram recipe into a recipe card with ingredients, quantities and steps, without screenshots.

You see a recipe on Instagram, you save it… and three weeks later, it's impossible to find among your saved posts. Zeste turns the reel into a recipe card filed in your cookbook, in a few seconds.

The quickest way: share the reel to Zeste

In the Instagram app, tap the share icon (the paper plane) under the reel, then Zeste in the list of apps. If Zeste doesn't appear, scroll through the list or tap "More". The import starts on its own, and a notification lets you know when the recipe is ready.

Or paste the link

Tap "Copy link" in the same menu, then open Zeste: the + button shows "Paste copied link". On a computer, paste the reel's address into Import, on zeste.cooking. You can paste several links in a row; each one becomes a recipe.

Zeste transcribes what's said in the video, reads the caption and cross-checks the two. If the recipe is already in your cookbook, it tells you instead of creating a duplicate.

Check it, then cook

Take a quick look at the quantities, especially when the video says them out loud. Adjust the number of servings and the quantities follow. In cooking mode, the steps are shown in large type, the screen stays on and timers are spotted in the text. No more pausing the reel every three seconds.

How much does it cost?

Zeste is free with 5 link imports per week, no credit card needed. Each friend you refer earns you 5 more imports. Zeste Pro (€4.99/month or €29.99/year) makes all imports unlimited and adds Chef Zeste, the Magic Fridge and wine cellar pairings.
